Almshouse Cleaner Required

Permanent, Part-time role: 30 Hrs pw

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our dedicated team who work together to look after the residents and operations at the historic, Hospital of St Cross in Winchester.

The Hospital of St Cross site is home to 25 retired men, known as Brothers, and it is also open to visitors who can explore the impressive Norman Chapel, Tudor buildings and attractive gardens as well as enjoy tasty refreshments in our Hundred Men’s Hall (HMH) tearoom.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced cleaner to clean and look after a variety of residential and visitor spaces within our Medieval Buildings; from Monday to Friday.

The part‑time cleaning role requires a certain level of fitness due to the size of the site, with its multiple staircases, height of the ceilings, and unusual and historically sensitive spaces.

Cleaning experience essential.

All relevant compliance and safeguarding training will be provided.

Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm (1 hour lunch)

Pay £12.71 per hour

Free parking. Workplace pension. 33 days annual leave
