Scope of the Position

The Power & Mechatronics Specialist supports the sale of Motion Control Products, Variable Frequency Drives and related mechanical systems by developing and executing a market specific business plan. The Sales Engineer is responsible for product selection and sizing using mechanical engineering methods and supporting software tools while acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Major Responsibilities:

Technical Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Servo Drives, Motors, Gearboxes, Actuators and related mechanical systems.
  • Manufacturing Machine Building and Design Expertise
  • Communicate with customers, vendors and employees, providing technical expertise while instilling confidence and credibility.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competencies.

Solution Based Selling

  • Drive outcome-based selling with a deep understanding of industrial business drivers.
  • Support sales team to proactively implement business plans.
  • Promote the value-add of assigned products in competitive situations.
  • Train internal staff on the sales and commercial aspects of variable frequency drives and motion control products.
  • Research market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new vendor partners to achieve annual business goals.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics Diploma/Degreeor equivalent combination of skills, experience or education.
  • 5 Years of related experience.
  • Proficient technical writing & presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at a time.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
