This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x‑rays and reporting results to medical providers. Additional duties include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care centers and supporting medical providers, medical assistants, and patients through patient‑care management, organization, and communication.
- Perform x‑ray services for patients of all ages, ensuring correct positioning and safety
- Push patients in a wheelchair if needed
- Prepare patients for examination, conduct interviews, record medical history, and verify purpose of visit
- Perform preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) and escalate critical cases to provider
- Conduct point‑of‑care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide results to provider
- Maintain medical records; scan charts to patient files; conduct courtesy call‑backs for follow‑up
- Document daily controls, calibration, and quality assurance logs for equipment; troubleshoot and submit repair tickets as needed
- Participate in routine maintenance, cleaning of X‑ray equipment, and supply management
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Collaborate with ordering/treating provider to determine procedures or views that best assist in accurate diagnoses
- Explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort and safety, and answer questions
- Verify image quality and ensure images are sent to radiologists for interpretation
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic systems
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire (obtained through ARC or AHA)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist

- Knowledge of X‑ray procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards common to radiology
- Ability to position patients properly for the X‑ray procedure
- Ability to identify equipment problems and notify supervisor
- Strong infection control and radiological safety skills
