About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious DZ Truck Driver to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for independently operating a waste collection truck, servicing residential neighborhoods by collecting garbage and yard waste. This role requires a high degree of physical stamina, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Operate the waste collection truck independently, following assigned routes through residential areas
- Manually lift and load waste and yard bins into the truck without assistance, demonstrating physical strength and endurance
- Accurately complete all collections in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled routes and customer expectations
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate any operational issues or concerns to supervisors promptly
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving with a DZ license, preferably in waste collection or similar industries
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, and climbing
- Must be able to start early and work extended hours as required to complete routes
