Logistics Coordinator

Position: Temporary Logistics Coordinator
Job Type: Temporary Contract - 3 month contract with the potential for longer
Wage: $27-37
Shift: Steady Days 7:30 am – 4 pm

Role

Description:

• Receive, review, and accurately log logistics-related invoices.
• Coordinate and set up outbound shipments based on approved shipping requests.
• Prepare and manage month-end accruals related to logistics activities.
• Communicate with logistics carriers to support day-to-day shipping operations.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and customs brokers.
• Address customs compliance matters as they arise.
• Prepare and submit export compliance documentation when required.
• Support trade agreement documentation and compliance requirements as needed.
• Update and maintain logistics costing, including obtaining quotes when required.
• Provide support for supply chain security and compliance programs.
• Complete additional logistics-related tasks as assigned by management.

• Post-secondary diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional logistics designation or comparable certification considered an asset.
• Formal coursework in customs, logistics, or supply chain management is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs, transportation, or logistics-focused roles preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of North American trade agreements and related regulations.
• Proven understanding of cross-border procedures and customs tariff structures in both Canada and the United States.
• Demonstrated knowledge of transportation compliance requirements, including hazardous goods and supply chain security programs.
• Solid accounting and cost-tracking experience related to logistics operations.
