Driver / Operative

Hourly Rate – £12.21 per hour
Hours – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on alternate shifts - Summer 11.30am to 8.30pm, Winter 9.30am to 6.30pm plus one week of working 5.30am to 2.30pm.

As a Driver / Operative at FCC Environment, you will provide street cleaning services across the Borough.

You will be expected to:

- Carry out and oversee the street cleaning of all roads within the Borough
- Work alone or as part of a team
- Perform duties efficiently to ensure maximum productivity
- Ensure tasks are completed to schedule and report any discrepancies immediately to your working foreman or supervisor
- Report any defects or damage to your supervisor
- Check equipment at the start of each shift and maintain it as per specification
- Clean your vehicle at the end of each shift
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public
- Provide weekend cover as requested
- Take on other duties as necessary to support our partner and client

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What are we looking for?

- Clean driving licence
- Good all-round knowledge of the area
- Able to use small compact machines
- CPC attained (not essential as training will be given)
- Ability to use own initiative
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Able to work alone
