Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplinare seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk for an immediate, ongoing temporary position, based onsite in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and support a busy finance team during a busy period. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts receivable invoices and post payments
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Reconcile AR ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Generate and send out customer invoices and account statements
  • Follow up with customers via phone and email regarding outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including creating reports in Excel
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to AR
  • Perform other related administrative or accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume AR environment
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or general accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and v lookups) and ability to workingin multiple accounting systems (experience with SAP, Great plains, Accuro, is an asset)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Criminal background check is required
