We currently have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team working from our Steinbach, MB office. You will work closely with the Controller, finance team members, and teams across the organization to ensure accuracy and consistency in our current finance processes, working toward strengthening our systems.

As an Accountant, you would be responsible to:- Support core accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, job costing, and general ledger
- Lead portions of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliation
- Manage product pricing processes such as monthly pricing updates and corrections, annual pricing spreadsheets, and updating new price structures
- Prepare internal reports, including partnering with other departments for necessary reports
- Assist with audit and tax preparation, working with external auditors and advisors as required
- Perform costing analysis on products for internal partners as requested
- Assist with continuous improvement and system optimization
- Other duties and projects as determined by business need
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and/or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Attention to detail in all areas of work, including research and analytical skills along with problem solving capabilities
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with the finance team and across departments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy, including electronic data storage, and advanced Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, complex formulas, etc)
- Previous cost accounting experience an asset
