Wesbell is seeking a Construction Manager in Winnipeg, NB. They will play a key role in establishing and growing our new Winnipeg branch by setting up operations, building crews, and managing staff as the location expands. This role also oversees crews in the construction of cellular sites—both tower and rooftop—ensuring safety, high-quality work, and overall project profitability.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Bring strong business acumen to help establish and grow the new Winnipeg branchOversee and direct construction projects from conception to completionLead the setup and day-to-day operations of the Winnipeg locationReview the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costsEnforcing and tracking budgetsOversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulationsCoordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractorsSelect tools, materials, and equipmentReview the work progress on a daily basisPrepare internal and external reports pertaining to job statusPlan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging onesAnalyze, manage and mitigate risksEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniquesAny other duties that may be assignedEDUCATION (THEORETICAL TRAINING)
BS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field5 Years minimum experience as a foreman in wireless constructionManagement training courses an assetJOB REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
Proven working experience in construction managementAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, and methodsExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standardsUnderstanding of all facets of the construction processFamiliarity with construction management software packagesCompetent in conflict and crisis managementLeadership and human resources management skillsExcellent time and project management skillsProblem-solving and problem avoidance skills
