Shared Health  Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9), and The University of Manitoba, Department of Internal Medicine (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for Section Head, Hepatology.
The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Based at the Health Sciences Centre, the Section Head will lead a group of academic hepatologists in a busy and expanding liver disease program and report to the Head, Department of Internal Medicine and Provincial Specialty Lead Internal Medicine.

They will have proven leadership abilities and administrative skills and shown interests in furthering undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education in Hepatology. A track record of continuing productivity in lab-based, translational, and/or investigator driven clinical research in Hepatology and demonstrated collaboration within and outside their current department/institution are assets.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Internal Medicine and Hepatology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Candidates must demonstrate broad experience in clinical management of liver diseases (including pre- and post-transplant).
