Hatch is seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT), New Graduate to join our Winnipeg team and contribute to innovative projects across the globe. You’ll collaborate with industry experts and gain hands‑on experience in both office and field environments.
The Mechanical group is comprised of professional engineers, designers and technologists. We are looking for a new or recent Mechanical Engineering graduate eager to be involved in complex small and large‑scale hydromechanical, mining and other industrial projects, who can demonstrate keen problem‑solving skills in developing practical solutions.

- Participate in office and site safety training and inductions to support office and site activities
- Perform field verification and provide field support during construction.
- Be open to travel and work at other Hatch offices or project sites, including remote locations
The Role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (recent graduate or graduating by 2026)
- Strong academic performance and active involvement in extracurricular or community activities
- Previous co‑op, internship, or summer work experience in mechanical engineering is an asset
- Familiarity with tools such as AFT Fathom, Ansys, Sidewinder, MathCAD, or Bentley Micro Station is an advantage
- Solid understanding of engineering and business fundamentals
- Quick learner who thrives in dynamic environments
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Creative problem‑solver who delivers practical solutions
- Adaptable and open to change
