Hatch is seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT), New Graduate to join our Winnipeg team and contribute to innovative projects across the globe. You’ll collaborate with industry experts and gain hands-on experience in both office and field environments.

The Mechanical group is comprised of a group of professional engineers, designers and technologists. We are looking for a new or recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our group that is eager to be involved in complex small and large-scale hydromechanical, mining and other industrial type projects, who can demonstrate their keen problem-solving skills in developing practical solutions.

As the successful candidate, you will
:

Apply engineering principles to design and analyze mechanical and piping systems for industrial applications

Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver project solutions

Prepare equipment specification packages and construction work packages for local and global projects

Gain expertise in mechanical equipment, piping systems, analytical tools, and industrial processes

Participate in office and site safety training and inductions to support office and site activities

Perform field verification and provide field support during construction.

Be open to travel and work at other Hatch offices or project sites, including remote locations

You bring to the role:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (recent graduate or graduating by 2026)

Strong academic performance and active involvement in extracurricular or community activities

Previous co-op, internship, or summer work experience in mechanical engineering is an asset

Familiarity with tools such as AFT Fathom, Ansys, Sidewinder, MathCAD, or Bentley Micro Station is an advantage
