Job Summary

As a Test Automation Specialist, you will drive quality, champion defect prevention and early detection through automation, develop and maintain tests for API services, and mentor the quality assurance team on automation techniques and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an automated test infrastructure for a large new enterprise web application
• Write and maintain automated tests using efficient and reusable code
• Perform performance and load testing of web applications and supporting APIs
• Mentor QA team members on automation tools and techniques
• Participate actively in our agile process through daily stand‑ups, sprint kick‑offs, demonstrations, and retrospectives

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years’ experience in software quality assurance
• 2+ years’ proven experience in automated testing with tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
• Experience with Angular and JUnit is an asset
• Knowledge of programming languages like C# or Java
• Understanding of database concepts and strong SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with API testing
• Experience with load test tools such as JMeter or Load runner
• Experience in business requirements analysis and test case design
• Ability to document defects and track them to resolution using defect management tools
• Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and QA automation best practices
• Experience with performance testing tools
• Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT
• Highly motivated, self‑directed with excellent communication skills
• Certificate in Quality Assurance or a Technologist’s Diploma, or a satisfactory mix of education and practical experience
