Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Analyst, an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst participates on the different stages of software development from planning a feature to release to production. They are expected to perform well with a team and manage their own work with minimal supervision. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills plus a drive to keep up to date with new technologies in the field is a must.
Familiarity with the concept of automation and willingness to participate in development of such tests is essential for this role.
Skill Set
5+ years in Quality Assurance focusing on web application testingFamiliar with commonly used software technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Database, HTTP RequestsExperienced with using test management tools like Test Rail, Zephyr Scale, Zephyr Squad, Xray and project management tools like Azure Dev Ops and JiraExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeSolid understanding of various testing methodologies and concepts, as well as how to apply them as neededAbility to create and perform effective test cases and plans to ensure quality of work itemsAbility to identify and document defects effectively to provide proper feedback to the development teamAble to categorize and prioritize defects and coverage to balance completion time and quality riskAbility to learn and understand project functional requirements and logic, highlighting requirement gaps as neededStrong sense of ownership and responsibility of assigned tasks and projectsStrong ability to multitask and stay focused on the task at handWorks well with colleagues from either same or different departmentsAble to perform complex testing and data validationsAble to work in an agile environment and familiarity with software development processesUnderstands basic programming concepts and willing to learn new technologies as they are used in different projectsWilling to learn and perform simple automation tasks using low code or no code frameworks, actual experience is a plusResponsibilities
Participate in reviews of requirements, specifications, and other testing deliverablesDesign manual test cases and plans to ensure applications or features being developed are of high quality and are delivered on a timely mannerReview and update existing test cases to improve coverage and accuracyPerform and document results for various types of manual testing against existing and new products or featuresDocument defects uncovered during testing and work with the development team to fix reported issuesCommunicate effectively with the stakeholders on the status of the project/feature being worked onParticipate in process improvements and possible changes that can be implemented to increase efficiency throughout the different teamsCollaborate with other QAs by participating in peer reviews to ensure quality testing is performedCreate automated tests using low code framework to improve regression effortsAssist in executing automated tests and reviewing test resultsOther tasks and duties as assignedOccasionally provide support outside of normal business hours as neededWhy join us?
