Job Description
  • Job Title: Security Guard
  • Job Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • Job Type: Full‑Time
  • Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.10 per hour
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday (1600 - 0000);
    Tuesday, Thursday to Sunday (1600 - 0000); Monday to Thursday, Saturday, Day and Evening , )
  • Overview: Allied Universal is seeking experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Winnipeg at the Downtown location (please note there will be no free parking).
Requirements
  • Must have prior security experience in a team environment, and open availability.
  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
  • Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Valid security guard license.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada 40 hours per week.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Must be at least 25+ years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have valid Driver's license.
Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Present a polished, professional, customer‑friendly image at all times.
  • Ensure the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
  • Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operate/monitor security room equipment, completion of site required training.
  • Vehicle Gate and Console duties.
