Senior AI Automation Engineer

Design production-grade AI agents with Python and SQL for Coalition, working remotely from anywhere in Canada. Build reliable automation for internal teams.
As a Senior Software Engineer, AI Automation, you will lead technical design and delivery across Coalition. You will translate ambiguous business processes into maintainable software using prompting, tool integration, structured outputs, and multi-step workflows. The work includes production deployment, evaluation, reliability, and safety controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead delivery of AI agents and reusable automation workflows
Translate complex processes and edge cases into reliable software
Design MCP integrations with systems of record
Define architecture, interfaces, data contracts, and operational standards
Establish evaluation, monitoring, auditability, and rollback practices
Requirements:
Seven or more years of software engineering experience
Recent experience shipping LLM-backed applications used by real users
Strong Python engineering and practical SQL expertise
Experience taking agents from prototypes through production operation
Production fundamentals across Git, CI/CD, containers, testing, and monitoring
