Aqua Instructors are fitness and health enthusiasts who are motivated to share their technical knowledge with our members in a fun group setting. They thrive on encouraging and motivating clients to help them achieve their fitness goals through group exercise classes. They are personable, often energetic, can be spiritual, and are always dedicated to helping our members improve their overall health and wellness.
They aren’t shy to be center stage and have a knack for cultivating a friendly and welcoming environment. These multi-taskers are able to keep an attentive eye on their class participants, ensuring everyone is safe, using proper technique, and enjoying themselves.
These exuberant fitness professionals can anticipate their audience’s needs and adapt their teaching techniques accordingly. They provide informative instruction while motivating and leading guests in group exercise classes, creating a fun, safe, and content-relevant experience for their specific class.

As an Instructor, a typical day might include:
- Arriving 10-15 minutes prior to class start
- Checking-in at the front desk
- Chatting with members, being receptive to music suggestions, and aware of clients who require modifications due to injuries
- Welcoming members, introducing yourself, and getting them excited about the class
- Conducting the class with enthusiasm and motivation
- Remaining 10-15 minutes after class to connect with members and gather feedback
To qualify for this role, you need:
- Certifications or workshops related to fitness and health
- 1+ years of experience as an Aqua instructor (preferred)
- A recent Criminal Background Check prior to training and/or employment
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, maintained throughout employment
