Trainer, Occupational Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver training sessions (e.g. SOPs, refresher training, compliance).
• Record and manage training data, matrices and individual training records. Support compliance training (e.g. hygiene, food safety, equality & diversity).
• Conduct role/task assessments and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with HR, departmental managers and training buddies to plan and track training activities.
• Ensure SOPs are up-to-date, accessible and clearly communicated to colleagues.
• Support internal and external audits by providing training documentation.
• Promote a culture of learning and development across the site.
• Assist in developing a training matrix and competency framework.
• Champion continuous improvement in training delivery and documentation.
• Liaising with external providers.

• Experience in training delivery within a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Strong understanding of SOPs, compliance, safety standards and audit readiness.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Organised, proactive and confident working independently.
• Highly organised with strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, LMS desirable).
