Job Title: CNC Turner

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: 15.00 - 20.00 per hour (depending on experience) + Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Company Overview:
A well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Witham is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join its busy and growing team. The company supplies high-quality components to a range of industries, including Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical, Oil & Gas, and Commercial sectors. The CNC Turner will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Doosan CNC Lathes to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set, and operate Doosan CNC Lathes (Haas experience also beneficial)

• Produce precision components to tolerances of 20 microns

• Read and interpret engineering drawings

• Prove out new CNC programs and complete first-off inspections

• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges)

• Ensure efficient workflow and maintain high-quality standards

• Contribute to process improvement and productivity

Experience and Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turning is essential

• Experience with Doosan or Haas CNC machines preferred (training provided)

• Online programming experience desirable (offline training available)

• Ability to set and operate CNC Lathes independently

• Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards

• Ideally time-served or apprentice-trained, though relevant experience is key
