Financial Accountant

Robert Half have partnered with a Gloucester based organisation to support with the recruitment of a year-end accountant.

Immediately Hybrid: 3 days on site, 2 remote (Gloucester) Duration: 3 - 6 months Day rate:
Up to £420.00 per day You will be responsible for:
Prepare monthly financial statements, including group consolidations and intercompany elimination entries. Oversee the production of statutory accounts, corporation tax filings, and compliance-related reporting. Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, inventory valuation processes, intercompany reconciliations, and the preparation of corporate and deferred tax calculations. Identify and implement control-focused enhancements to systems and processes, maintaining the internal control framework in partnership with Group Internal Audit.

Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate to support an efficient annual audit. Develop commentary to highlight and interpret the key drivers behind financial performance.
