An industry-leading residential groundworks contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee engineering operations across multiple housing infrastructure projects within the Birmingham and wider West Midlands region. The successful candidate will be responsible for 35 live sites , ensuring quality, safety, and programme performance while providing technical support to site and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee engineering activities across several groundworks and residential infrastructure projects. Set out works including foundations, drainage, roads, sewers, and external works. Conduct surveys, as-builts, QA checks, and maintain accurate records. Ensure all work is delivered to technical specifications and industry standards. Coordinate daily with Site Managers, Project Managers, and subcontractors to maintain progress. Provide technical solutions, resolve design queries, and ensure buildability.

Oversee QA, material take-offs, and technical documentation. Mentor junior engineers across multiple sites. Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Support planning, programming, and sequencing of works. Requirements: 57 years experience as a Site Engineer in groundworks or residential civils. Demonstrated ability in multi-site engineering management. Proficient with setting-out tools and software (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD). Strong knowledge of groundworks: drainage, roads, foundations, S278/S38 works, external works.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Civil Engineering degree or HNC/HND preferred. Full UK driving licence. Whats on
