Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: West Byfleet

An opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor has become available with a tier 1 civil engineering company working on a major project valued at £60M in Hampshire. This is a newly created position as a result of a significant, recently awarded tender. The role presents the Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join a world-class organisation with renowned training and career development programmes and the chance to develop a rewarding long-term career.

The Role Working as part of a commercial team reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Senior QS will be involved with every aspect of the commercial life cycle of schemes, including:
Sub-contract monitoring and management, cost reporting and forecasting, Managing early warnings and change control, and agreeing on final accounts with the supply chain. Stakeholder Management Cost and Value Reporting Supporting the operations team with commercial advice Providing leadership to junior Quantity Surveyors Experienced Required Suitable applicants must be educated to HNC /BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate experience working at Quantity Surveying or Senior QS level within the civil engineering sector.

The role could suit an experienced Senior QS or a Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step up the career ladder to Senior QS level. Project experience on civils, infrastructure or utility schemes is essential.
