Mechanical Inspector

Quality Inspector / Quality Technician / Mechanical Inspector / Metrologist

Required for a global manufacturer of measuring equipment used in precision engineering, electronics, medical, automotive and aerospace based near Woking, Surrey.

The Quality Inspector / Quality Technician / Mechanical Inspector / Metrologist will be responsible for the inspection of components and products, producing inspection documents and CMM programming.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, including experience working to ISO
9001 standards within a commutable distance to Woking, Surrey.

• Inspection of components and products using visual, functions and dimensional checks
• CMM programming and component inspection
• Producing inspection documents and reports
• Feedback on inspection issues to Assembly Team
• Quality checks and inspection of finished products
• Ensuring all work is compliant with ISO
  9001 standards

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector / Technician / Metrologist within manufacturing sector
• Familiarity with ISO
  9001
• Experience in the use of CMMs (co‑ordinate measurement machines) including the programming of CMMs
• Comfortable with the use of Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Height Gauges, Surface Plates, Comparator Stands and Slip Gauges
• Confident reading engineering drawings and an understanding of geometric tolerancing
• Commutable to Woking
