Mazco Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected precision engineering manufacturer based in West Byfleet. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Quality Inspector / Quality Operative to support their Quality team and maintain exceptional standards across high-value components.
The Role
This is a hands-on quality role suited to someone with experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined parts in a regulated engineering environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* First-off, patrol, and final inspection
* Assisting with and completing inspection reports (AS9102 FAIRs)
* Checking quality documentation and certification
* Calibration support
* Final-stage deburring and polishing of high-value components
* Supporting the Quality Manager across varied quality tasks
🔎 What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a Quality Inspector / Quality Operative role
* Confident using a range of inspection equipment, including:
* CNC CMM (Aberlink Axiom or similar)
* Vision systems and microscopes
* Surface measurement equipment
* Shadow graph
* Digital height gauges (Trimos)
* Hand measuring instruments
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
* A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support across departments
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
What’s on Offer
* Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
* 39-hour standard working week
* Overtime paid at 1.5x
* Choice of day shifts:
* 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–13:00 Fri
* 07:30–16:30 Mon–Thu / 07:30–12:30 Fri
* 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days)
