My client is a specialist manufacturer within the precision metal industry. They are looking for a Senior Estimating & Engineering Lead to join their team in the Manchester area on a permanent basis.

The Senior Estimating & Engineering Lead will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience in sales estimating proposals or engineering roles
• Strong practical and technical knowledge of CAD software Solid Works or similar
• Knowledge of metal treatments stamping precision forming would be beneficial
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional teams (Engineering Production Sales)
• Experienced producing quotations and queries
• Experience Providing technical consultancy internally and externally
• Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
• Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Providing Design and Estimating support for customers the merchant networks and Sales teams
• Gaining technical competence and understanding of the key functions of the companys products and services
• Communicating with customers providing technical consultancy responding to enquiries and liaising with external sales teams
• Working with the Projects Team to convert client requirements into details designs and technical instructions
• Technical creation of quotations
• Taking over requirements from the sales team and seeing them through the technical stage
• Planning and organisation
• Innovative thinking and problem solving
• Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
