Account Handler
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Handler to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical, administrative, and client support to Account Executives, ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance with FCA Consumer Duty principles. You will be a trusted advisor for existing clients, managing renewals, handling inquiries, and maintaining strong relationships to drive retention and growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncome & Revenue Growth
- Prepare and provide quotations to support Account Executives.
- Administer clients’ insurance requirements, including renewals and mid-term adjustments.
- Maintain strong relationships with long-standing clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Support sales plans and take proactive measures to achieve targets.
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters for policy changes and amendments.
Data & Information Accuracy
- Track impending renewals and gather information promptly.
- Prepare market documentation and client presentations accurately and on time.
- Ensure precise data input across all systems and maintain renewal records.
Client Experience
- Deliver exceptional service, handling day-to-day inquiries efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Consumer Duty and industry regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
Risk & Compliance
- Close market documentation in line with deadlines and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate placing files and adhere to corporate document management processes.
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure all procedures are followed.
Teamwork
- Collaborate with technical teams and provide support to Account Executives.
- Foster strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- CII Certificate/Diploma in Insurance or equivalent (preferred).
- Background in insurance.
- Solid understanding of insurance products and services.
