We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join our design team in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled designer to play a key role in producing high-quality drawings and models for a range of bespoke steelwork projects including staircases, handrails and platforms.
Reporting to the Design Office Manager, you will be responsible for producing design layouts, general arrangements and complete manufacturing drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Utilise previous industry experience & knowledge to produce detailed fabrication drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor.
- Collaborate closely with the project team, client, architect & structural engineers to gather critical information & specifications.
- Attend internal & external project design meetings offering valuable input to ongoing challenges.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, tolerances, & quality standards.
- Support junior members of the team & contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role & industry (primary/secondary steelwork design & fabrication)
- Advanced user of AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works.
- Experience in producing accurate drawings to enable effective construction.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical drawings & specifications.
- IT Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of open‑mesh flooring & handrails would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Revit & BIM models would be advantageous.
- Able to work full time hours at our design office, 5 days per week.

Hours
Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 16:45 & Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
37.5 hours per week.
