Business Rates Surveyor | MRICS Your new company Hays are currently partnered with an International Property Consultancy who are looking for a Newly Qualified Business Rates Surveyor to provide professional advice and support on Business Rates matters, including valuations, appeals, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and deliver excellent client services. Your new role Valuation & Analysis:
Undertake rating valuations for commercial properties in accordance with statutory requirements. Analyse rental and market data to support valuation assessments. Appeals & Negotiations:
Prepare and submit appeals to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA). Negotiate settlements with the VOA and other relevant bodies. Client Advisory:
Advise clients on business rates liabilities, mitigation strategies, and reliefs. Prepare clear, concise reports and recommendations. Compliance & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of valuations, appeals, and correspondence. Ensure compliance with RICS standards and relevant legislation. Professional Development:
Keep up to date with changes in rating law and practice. Work towards further professional qualifications and CPD requirements. What you'll need to succeed Newly qualified MRICS (or equivalent) with a specialism in Rating. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and valuation software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
