Overview
The Supply Delivery post will play a crucial role in the Housing Supply and Markets team at an exciting time. The post holder will lead our work across the Department and Government to stress-test plans to deliver 1.5m homes within the parliament. This is a flagship commitment for this government and receives significant interest from Ministers, No10 and HM Treasury.
Responsibilities- Design a strategic approach to cross-cutting risks that could affect the delivery of 1.5m homes within the parliament.
- Identify and develop creative policy interventions to mitigate against priority risks.
- Advise senior officials and Ministers on scope/scale of risks and recommended policies to address them.
- Work with the wider Supply Strategy Team to ensure the strategy to deliver 1.5m homes is robust and deliverable.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, agencies, and industry to ensure alignment and coordinated action on housing supply.
- Lead and develop a team (either direct management or matrix management) to deliver these responsibilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate political, economic, and social priorities.
- Creative problem-solver experienced in addressing challenges at a systems level.
- Proven ability to deliver at pace in high-priority, fast-moving environments.
- Inclusive leader who drives high performance and fosters a positive, collaborative team culture.
