Overview

The Supply Delivery post will play a crucial role in the Housing Supply and Markets team at an exciting time. The post holder will lead our work across the Department and Government to stress-test plans to deliver 1.5m homes within the parliament. This is a flagship commitment for this government and receives significant interest from Ministers, No10 and HM Treasury.

Responsibilities
  • Design a strategic approach to cross-cutting risks that could affect the delivery of 1.5m homes within the parliament.
  • Identify and develop creative policy interventions to mitigate against priority risks.
  • Advise senior officials and Ministers on scope/scale of risks and recommended policies to address them.
  • Work with the wider Supply Strategy Team to ensure the strategy to deliver 1.5m homes is robust and deliverable.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, agencies, and industry to ensure alignment and coordinated action on housing supply.
  • Lead and develop a team (either direct management or matrix management) to deliver these responsibilities.
