Our Project Management Apprentice Programme is designed to accelerate your career in aerospace. Based at our Actuation World Headquarters in Wolverhampton, you will be part of a team leading projects that span civil and military aviation, from sustainable technologies to advanced manufacturing innovation.
You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle — from initial planning and scheduling through to delivery and continuous improvement — giving you exposure to both the technical and commercial side of project management.
This scheme is designed to accelerate your career in Project and Programme Management. Together we will develop you to become an expert in all aspects of project planning and execution, how to balance competing priorities and how to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure we are meeting the needs of our diverse customer base.
Being part of our Project Management community, you will be assigned a dedicated mentor to support and guide you, complementing your career development and fuelling your aspirations.
You will work collaboratively with engineers, operations teams, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Project management principles and related knowledge will be studied as part of the apprenticeship programme in partnership with Aston University, which will award a BSc in Project Management upon completion.
The degree apprenticeship programme lasts 4 years and covers key project management principles including:
- Principles of Project Management
- Leadership and Change Management
- Operations Management
- Strategic Management
By the end of the programme, you will also have the opportunity to become professionally accredited through the Association of Project Management (APM) and other external training courses.

Desirable skills:
- Minimum of 3 A Levels at BBB or above, or equivalent BTECs, and a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C / 4 or above, including Mathematics and English
- Good analytical skills and problem solving
- Good personal management and self-organisation skills
- Effective communicator – written and verbal
