Team Leader Parts Generation

Onsite – Wolverhampton, G

Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice‑trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner/​Mill‑Turn) to join the team at our facility in Wolverhampton. We are focused on the customer and design complex mechanical products that are bespoke and high‑profile. Our machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance – an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.
• Perform first‑off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.
• Be competent in setting up and using machine tools.
• Carry out own first‑off inspection and complete the necessary quality documentation.
• Have proven experience in a machine‑shop environment.
• Be confident in using precision measurement equipment.

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
• Proven skills in a multi‑axis/complex machining environment.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
• Over 10 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines – Mazak.

This role follows a double‑day shift pattern with overtime as requested. An initial training period will be required before moving to shifts. Candidates must be self‑certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If clearance cannot be obtained, eligibility may be withdrawn for national‑security reasons.
