Production Welding Operator, Wolverhampton, £13.82 per hour

Manufacturers of precision engineered components for a wide variety of customers. They are currently looking to recruit a proven Production Welding Operator.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare for work to be accomplished by studying Weld Procedures, SOP’s, Work Order details, drawings, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

Weld, with the appropriate process, rods, cylinders, or subassemblies, checking for any damage to components before use.

Ensure non welded parts of the product are protected from spatter or damage.

Verifies final product by visual inspection and where relevant, measuring completed component.

Notifying Supervision if any defects are found.

Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs where necessary.

Complete batch cards, inspection records, record preventative maintenance, training and other record keeping as required.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

To work on your own initiative and understand the relevant SOPs/Quality Instructions/Risk Assessments/COSSH data and manufacturing processes.

Fulfil training deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development.

Follow all health and safety procedures and policies. Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate.
