Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to effectively serve our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, offering advice, and upselling where appropriate to maximise sales.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines to attract customers and promote products.
  • Handle transactions accurately using the till system, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
  • Answer customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy following proper phone etiquette.
  • Organise stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure the store remains tidy and well-presented at all times.
  • Manage time effectively to prioritise tasks during busy periods while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Support the team with organisational tasks such as inventory checks and product displays.
Experience
  • Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Multilingual skills, especially fluency in English and Spanish, are highly desirable to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with customers and team members.
  • Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing stock counts.
  • Organisational skills and time management are important to ensure smooth store operations during busy periods.
  • Experience with merchandising techniques and upselling strategies will be beneficial in driving sales growth.
