Retail Assistant – Part Time

Location:

Mitre Retail Park, Wolverhampton.

Hours:

16 hours across 4 days per week (minimum 16 hours over 4 days from 7 each week, including weekends). Pay: £10.10 – £12.31 per hour (depending on age: 16‑20: £10.10, 21+: £12.31).

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy, able to juggle deliveries, till, shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability – an important part of a small team, dependable each shift.
• Flexibility with shifts; may need to cover for teammates; rota planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work considered.

Many people take this role as part‑time work while studying or raising a family. There is an opportunity to progress to Shop Manager and Area Manager positions from within, with great training programmes.
