Our Values- Relationships are respectful and empowering
- Children are at the centre of what we do
- High aspirations and high expectations
City of Wolverhampton Council is a restorative practice local authority. The Children’s Social Care workforce work together across services to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children and support each other to achieve our vision.
We write to the child and are well supported by our Youth Engagement and Participation Service to co-produce policies with young people. We ensure all our social workers have the time to work closely with their young people to undertake great quality direct work for our Children and Young People in Care.
We are well supported by our Home finding Team and Fostering Service who are available, approachable, and work creatively to find the best and most stable homes for our children.
We believe all of our children have the right to be well-supported to independence in adulthood and we have our own Supported Accommodation Service which along with our House Project enables young people to learn everything they need to know to live independently.
In City of Wolverhampton, we take a whole community approach to care for our Children and Young people in Care as an excellent parent would.
