Production Planner

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company based in the Barnsley area. Reporting in to the Planning Manager the Production Planner will be responsible for the efficient planning of production and offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits

In the Production Planner position you will be responsible for :

• Liaise with Production Managers when generating production plans
• Monitor and control stocks and challenge variances.
• Validate and challenge incoming sales orders in comparison to forecast and expectations.
• Liaise with production to ensure a fast response to amendments to plan.
• Ensure awareness of new products changes to specification promotions and detailsre their impact on Production.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and ideally have experience in the food manufacturing sector. You should be highly organised and have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Strong IT skills are essential in particular strrong Excel

This role offers an attractive salary and d aily working hours are 6am till 2pm / 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday working on a 1 in 4 rota Saturday
