An established and design-led building services consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its Worcester office.

This role offers the chance to work on technically engaging, sustainability-driven projects across the commercial, residential, public, and cultural sectors.
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the mechanical design of buildings, working alongside architects, structural engineers, and sustainability specialists to deliver efficient, compliant, and low-carbon solutions.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

Designing mechanical building services systems from concept through to technical design
Producing calculations, reports, specifications, and coordinated design drawings
Supporting project delivery across multiple live schemes
Attending design team meetings and contributing to coordinated solutions
Assisting with site inspections, commissioning, and technical reviews
Ensuring designs meet current UK regulations, sustainability targets, and best practice
This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer looking to strengthen their technical capability while gaining broader project exposure.

📐 What We’re Looking For

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

Experience with in a building services consultancy or contractor design environment
Competent using CAD and mechanical design tools
Working knowledge of UK building regulations and low-carbon design principles
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
⭐ Advantageous Experience

Exposure to BIM and coordinated 3D design environments
Knowledge of heat pumps, energy-efficient HVAC systems, or renewable technologies
Interest in design-focused or sustainability-led projects
