About the Role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality mechanical designs that meet technical specifications and industry standards. Your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of complex projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Create and refine detailed mechanical designs using Solid Works.
  • Design hydraulic systems and pipework layouts with a focus on performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct design reviews and integrate feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Select appropriate equipment and coordinate with manufacturing teams and subcontractors.
  • Generate accurate technical documentation including specifications, assembly instructions, and fabrication drawings.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers and project teams to ensure cohesive design integration.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, with a strong focus on Solid Works.
  • Demonstrated experience designing hydraulic systems and pipework layouts.
  • Proficient in Solid Works (3D modelling and drafting).
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and fluid dynamics.
  • Due to the nature of the company, you must hold British citizenship.
