A precision engineering company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team at their Worcester based manufacturing site. Ideally you have experience of working within a CNC machining environment with knowledge of a variety of processes and techniques.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will work alongside the Engineering team to develop and improve the processes, documentation and systems to improve quality and costs.
Using your technical manufacturing knowledge, you will analyse and advise the teams on manufacturing effectiveness to identify and recommend improvements to machinery operations, processes, production methods to improve process and product capability.
Great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and progress with the company in the future! This is a perm role, but they will consider a Contract position, if someone has great skills to hit the ground running straight off.
Benefits- c £45k - Salary dependent on experience
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- 20 Days Holidays plus bank holidays (increases 1 day per year up to 25 Days + BHs)
- Liaise with engineering team during new product development to manage component manufacturability and quality concerns
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Develop value stream maps of production facility processes to identify possible waste and act to eliminate it
- Specify materials requirements, and suitable methods of manufacture
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, such as material suitability, specifications, verification methods, and variability
- Provide technical support to Procurement, R & D and other stakeholders
- Ideally HND / HNC in Engineering with good experience in similar role
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing / Production Engineer / SQE
- CNC experience, ideally with some CAD / CAM interface knowledge
- Lean / CI skills and experience
- Knowledge of ISO and other regulatory standards advantageous
