Senior Finance Officer

Worcestershire County Council – Adult Social Care Finance Team – Worcester, United Kingdom

Location: Hybrid / Wildwood Office Worcester

Hours: 35 Hours per Week

Type: Permanent

Salary: £32,573 – £34,397 per annum

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Finance Officer to join our Adult Social Care Finance team and play a vital role in shaping how resources are used to deliver high‑quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to Adult Social Care managers, helping them understand budgets, plan for the future, and make informed decisions.
  • Directly support frontline services and ensure public money is used effectively.
  • Play an important part in delivering value for money while meeting statutory responsibilities and supporting vulnerable adults.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Energetic, collaborative, and enjoys teamwork.
  • Ability to interpret large volumes of data and see the bigger picture.
  • Confidence in explaining financial information in a clear and approachable manner.
