Hays Senior Finance are partnering with a fast-paced and dynamic business in the Worcester area as they look to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Established over 20 years ago, this rapidly growing online retail business are going from strength-to-strength and are now seen as a leading label for the youth market.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director and working alongside the RoW Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations for the UK and EU regions of the business.
Main duties:
- Preparation and consolidation of monthly management accounts
- Review of individual company management accounts
- Assist the FD with monthly and annual financial reporting requirements
- Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
- Supervision of VAT and overseas sales tax returns
- Full involvement in the improvement of internal processes and efficiencies
- Management of a small finance team
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
- Demonstrable experience of providing hands-on, day-to-day financial management and support
- Possess a 'sleeves rolled up' approach with the ability to get stuck in
- High attention to detail and able to co-ordinate substantial amounts of information
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build and maintain effective relationships with non-finance stakeholders
- Experience of managing and developing finance teams
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and good working knowledge of accounting software (Oracle Net Suite highly advantageous)
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification) and be given the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the next phase of this organisation's growth journey. The role is fully office-based initially but there will be scope to WFH 2 days per week post-probation.
