We are looking for a Lead Applied AI Engineer to lead a team of Applied AI Engineers, guide the design and implementation of scalable AI systems, and shape the future of AI for SMBs in an agile environment.

• Lead and mentor a team of Applied AI Engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Design and implement scalable AI‑powered software solutions, focusing on APIs, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks.
• Build and deploy agentic AI systems using tools such as MCP servers and APIs.
• Integrate AI solutions into existing environments and workflows, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
• Test, monitor, and deploy software solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Drive AI adoption across the organization as a recognised technical expert and thought leader.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or management role.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask) and expertise in microservices and event‑driven architectures (Kaf Ka, SSE, Web Socket).
• Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) – fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, and hands‑on expertise with GPT, Claude, Gemini.
• Practical experience with vector databases (Open Search, FAISS) for similarity and semantic search.
• Proven ability to deploy and scale RAG systems and AI agents in production.
• Skilled in implementing conversational AI systems using APIs such as OpenAI Chat Completion and Assistants.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Experience building multi‑hop RAG systems with self‑consistency and chain‑of‑thought prompting.
• Knowledge of AIOps / MLOps best practices, including real‑time inference model deployment and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with distributed data tools (Spark, Dask, Apache Beam).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
