Finance Assistant - Temporary (Upto 8 weeks)

Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour + Holiday Pay & Benefits

Butler Rose are delighted to be supporting a leading and fast-growing business in the Workington area with the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their established team on a temporary basis for up to 8 weeks.

This opportunity has arisen due to recent changes within the finance team, and our client requires additional support across purchase ledger and wider accounting functions. The business has undergone an exciting period of transformation, making this a fantastic time to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

You will be working within a positive, friendly and collaborative finance team, with the added benefit of excellent facilities and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately processing supplier invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining correct balances
  • Processing supplier payments and reconciling accordingly
  • Conducting weekly ledger reviews for management reporting
  • Handling supplier queries in a professional manner
  • Performing cash and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with stock management tasks
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or a general accounts role
  • AAT qualification (preferred), though strong relevant experience will also be considered
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability and sound Excel skills

Offer:
  • Hourly rate: £14.00
  • Contract:

    Temporary, up to 8 weeks with possible extension.
  • Hours:

    Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Benefits:
