Salary: £24,413 per annum (pro rata)

- Support the cleaning and upkeep of the establishment to high standards.
- Maintain floor surfaces in accordance with the Authority’s cleaning specification and attend to spillages.
- Deep clean areas on a rotational basis while ensuring health and safety for yourself and others.
- Remove waste from rooms to the external waste facility, empty litter bins and dispose waste to designated areas.
- Clean working surfaces and furniture as directed.
- Set out furniture as required and support the setup and tidy‑up of sessions for attendees.
- Assist the caretaker with logbooks, stock cards, inventories and ensure adequate cleaning supplies.
- Clean toilets and washrooms to the required standards.
- Carry out all duties with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Willingness to gain NVQ Cleaning & Building Interiors Standards Level 2.
- Willingness to train in hygiene and safety to an appropriate level for the job.
- Basic awareness of Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of operating specialist equipment related to the job role.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to excellent customer care and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Ability to work flexibly and handle workplace difficulties with diplomacy.
- High level of punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
