Salary: £24,413 per annum (pro rata)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the cleaning and upkeep of the establishment to high standards.
  • Maintain floor surfaces in accordance with the Authority’s cleaning specification and attend to spillages.
  • Deep clean areas on a rotational basis while ensuring health and safety for yourself and others.
  • Remove waste from rooms to the external waste facility, empty litter bins and dispose waste to designated areas.
  • Clean working surfaces and furniture as directed.
  • Set out furniture as required and support the setup and tidy‑up of sessions for attendees.
  • Assist the caretaker with logbooks, stock cards, inventories and ensure adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Clean toilets and washrooms to the required standards.
  • Carry out all duties with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Qualifications
  • Willingness to gain NVQ Cleaning & Building Interiors Standards Level 2.
  • Willingness to train in hygiene and safety to an appropriate level for the job.
  • Basic awareness of Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of operating specialist equipment related to the job role.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to excellent customer care and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Ability to work flexibly and handle workplace difficulties with diplomacy.
  • High level of punctuality and attendance.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
