Location:
Blyth, Worksop. Salary up to £40,678.72 per year. Role reports to the Technical Team Leader on shift at Rudie's Kitchen and Ace’s Pantry. The role ensures that the company quality systems and processes are operated in a controlled and effective manner to maintain product quality from raw materials through to dispatched goods.
A Bit About The Role As a Quality Assurance Process Lead, you will ensure that the specified company quality systems and processes are operated in a controlled and effective manner. This role sits between a normal Quality role and that of a Senior QA, with senior responsibilities but without line management duties.
The role requires working on a shift pattern of 7am to 7pm days and nights, with the following options:
- 4 on, 5 off = 2 day, 2 nights
- 5 on, 4 off = 3 days, 2 nights
- 5 on, 5 off = 2 days, 3 nights
- Pro-active management and education of processes and system control across the broader team
- Conduct product testing on incoming raw materials and finished goods
- Monitor and trend product quality; identify improvements and collaborate with Operations, Process, NPD Engineering and Raw Materials to implement them
- Ensure QA tasks (GMP, calibrations, audits, sampling) are completed on schedule and follow-up on actions
- Investigate non-conformances (incidents, analytical testing, audits, customer complaints); determine corrective actions and measure effectiveness
- Attend process trials and support integration of new product processes and equipment into the Quality Management System
- Support QMS documentation updates (SOPs, quality parameters, schedules, QAT tasks)
- Previous QA experience in food is essential
- Pragmatic, adaptable, resilient and humble
- Proven track record of QA, systems management or HACCP in food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of production and packing processes
- Working knowledge of process capability and target setting
- Keen to build something from the ground up and thrive in fast-paced FMCG manufacturing
