Worthing, Salary £26,800, 18-month Fixed Term Contract.

We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant on a 18-month FTC.

Together, we'll be working towards providing a comprehensive service which aids our team of underwriters. This will include building a successful network of internal and external relationships; responding a variety of enquiries and meeting high standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Collaborating with our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks. (Occasional travel to London)
• Delivering business-important metrics alongside our management team.
• Spotting and driving opportunities for operational improvements.
• Acting on feedback from customers and sharing ideas with managers and peers.
• Taking personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy.

• Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes.
• Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships.
• Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets; databases and word processing.
• Previous underwriting experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
• Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but, again, not essential.

• Salary £26,800 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
• Bonus opportunity - 6% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
