Position: QA release officer (Permanent)
QA Release Officer

We are currently recruiting for a QA Release Officer to support quality assurance and batch release activities within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, quality, and supply teams to ensure products are released in full compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

The Role

The QA Release Officer will provide quality oversight across manufacturing, production, and packaging operations. The role focuses on the timely review and release of batch documentation, support of quality systems, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain compliance and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and approve batch documentation for bulk, finished product, and IMP batches

* Ensure timely and compliant batch release in accordance with GMP, GDP, and GCP requirements

* Provide QA support to manufacturing, production, and packaging activities

* Review production records prior to Qualified Person (QP) release and escalate issues as required

* Support deviation management, non-conformances, CAPAs, and change control activities

* Prepare, review, and issue quality documentation and certificates

* Participate in audits and inspections as required

* Provide QA input to cross-functional meetings and projects

* Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with relevant SOPs

* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality assurance

* Working knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical quality systems

* Strong documentation and organisational skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable:

* Degree in a scientific or related discipline

* Experience using electronic Quality Management Systems (e.g. Track Wise)

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to manage workload effectively in a regulated environment

Working Conditions

* Predominantly office-based

* Occasional work within controlled or aseptic environments may be required
