Electrical, Automation and Instrumentation Site Engineer

As part of our clients continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Electrical, Automation and Instrumentation Site Engineer to join our clients team in Wrexham.

This role is embedded within a live operational plant environment and requires hands‑on involvement in in-situ design, execution, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all systems are implemented safely, efficiently, and in compliance with both client and regulatory standards.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering (or equivalent fields such as Mechatronics or Control Systems).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in developing and commissioning process control applications.
• Strong knowledge of DCS / PLC architecture, instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Profibus, Ethernet IP).
• Experience with SCADA, HMI, SQL databases, and integration with MES / ERP systems.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC 61131) and Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Willingness to relocate within the UK for project assignments, primarily in the Northwest region.
