Job Overview

The Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team in Betsi Cadwaladr East offers an exciting development opportunity for a motivated and dynamic qualified speech and language therapist to develop their skills and our service supporting adults with a learning disability (ALD) who have communication and swallowing needs.

Main Duties of the Job

• Join our supportive and growing team of SLTs and technical instructors, providing services across acute and community settings.

• Develop independent dysphagia skills if needed, with support and supervision from our highly skilled team.

• Work within a ‘one team’ approach, enabling flexibility to meet patient needs and develop clinicians’ skills and experience.

• Provide access to instrumental clinics (FEES and VFS) and receive 1:1 and peer support, with links across the Health Board and Wales.

Contact & Application

We are particularly interested in SLTs currently at Band 5 or 6 level. A robust development plan supports Band 5 SLTs to progress into a Band 6 post specialising in ALD.
Please contact Cara Spencer, Head of SLT East at 07785 744883 for more information or to arrange a visit to meet the team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable;
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
