Position: Bus Project Management Graduate – Transport for Wales

Salary: £27,000 per annum, increasing to £28,000 in the 2nd year

Contractual hours: 37.5
Contract type: 22-month fixed term

Basis: Full time

Location: Pontypridd or Wrexham

Responsibilities

The Bus Project Management Graduate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a major Bus change programme in Wales, which brings together several projects and activities, including but not limited to, designing new bus networks, purchasing/building depots, fleet, and on‑bus technology.

Qualifications
  • A degree in transport, business/project management or a STEM discipline, although other relevant subjects will be considered.
  • The ability to manage time and priorities effectively, whilst balancing workload to achieve key objectives and deliverables.
  • Experience of contributing to projects individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of both internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outputs.

Eligibility

To be eligible for our Graduate Scheme, you must be within 2 years post‑graduation upon application or graduate by the time the scheme begins. You’ll need to be available to start the Graduate Scheme in early September 2026.

You must hold the relevant right to work in the UK upon successful appointment. We’re not currently able to provide sponsorship.

Welsh Language Skills

We welcome people who can speak or write in Welsh, but it’s not essential for this role.
